Recap of VMA's
For those of us who don't have cable...

Further proof that Beyonce is probably the greatest performer out there at the moment:

And our boy JT, following in at a close second, given a slightly sharp start on what's got to be one of the hardest songs to find your pitch on at the beginning EVER... I think he more than makes up for the pitch problem with the wonderfully godawful pseudo-attempt at beat boxing he does at the end though. Yes, definitely.

For a particular value of "performer," I suppose. if you do mean it as a blanket statement... you know I adore you, but can I have some of that crack you're having? Because it sounds like mighty fine crack.

My crack is amazing, but no, I don't share. You go find me another person in this world who can run around, dance, be thrown around, wrestle, undress, and SING LIKE SHE DOES, ALL AT THE SAME TIME, and I may concede, or at least narrow my field of performers down a bit to a genre group or something maybe. Beyonce is superwoman.

Good lungs /= good performance, dear.

OK Ian, we'll play this game your way. What makes you doubt Beyonce here? And who can do it better?

Do I need to dig up that Deja Vu video again so you can see her seizure, do the backstroke AND sing at the same time again? Is THAT what this is going to take?

While JT was doing "My Love" I was mentally chanting, "Please bring out T.I., Please Bring Out T.I." I mean, he was there, or so I hear - why didn't they get him up to do his rap (the best bit of the song!)? Still, I'm slightly mollified by the Timbaland-Timberlake dance-off.

Yeah, I was thinking that same thing... I'm not sure why T.I. didn't come out....

And also, YES, the Timbaland/JT dance thing was great! definitely made the performance worth watching.

Dirty babe, you see these shackles baby I'm your slave.
